Electric car: Renault inaugurates its Berlin concept store

Renault has opened a concept store in Berlin entirely dedicated to the electric car. This showroom, located in the city centre, aims to help the general public better understand electric mobility.
Willkommen! Following the inauguration of its first Electric Vehicle Experience Center in Stockholm in February, Renault opened its 100% electric showroom in Berlin on 14 June.
Located close to Gendarmenmarkt Square on a busy street of the historic city centre, it showcases the main electric models from the diamond-logo car manufacturer and lets visitors explore the ZOE, Twizy and Kangoo Z.E. models from every angle. “More and more customers are interested in electric vehicles, but still don’t know them well”, said Gilles Normand, Renault’s Director of Electric Vehicles, during the announcement of the showroom’s opening.
An educational approach to the electric car
The onsite consultants and multimedia installation at the concept store aim to answer all visitors’ questions, from the more informed to the curious newbies. Purchasing incentives, local regulations, battery life, smart charging and connected services: all topics are covered and explained in a clear and accessible way, so that everyone can understand the benefits of the electric car. While it isn’t the venue’s primary purpose, visitors who wish can also take a test drive or purchase their own vehicle.
In Stockholm, this educational approach has attracted more than 14,000 visitors in just three months. That’s certainly enough incentive to get other major European cities on the bandwagon!
