This is a promise of democratization.
Ampere aims to make electric vehicles accessible to the widest audience in Europe. Renault 5 E-Tech Electric, the first B-segment vehicle entirely designed on the AmpR Small platform, embodies this ambition. It combines cutting-edge electric and digital technology with outstanding cost competitiveness. Thanks to AmpR Small, significant economies of scale have been achieved without compromising on essential components or key technologies for customers.
This is a smart and efficient strategy.
By developing native platforms for intelligent electric vehicles (iEV), Ampere significantly reduces costs. Unlike multi-energy approaches, AmpR Small is specifically designed to meet the needs of B-segment vehicles. Each element of its structure has been carefully examined to minimize costs: reducing the number of parts, optimizing the powertrain, and enabling the interchangeability of the four battery modules.
This is a platform designed for the future.
From the outset, AmpR Small was designed with scalability in mind. Its design allows for adjusting the track width and wheelbase to accommodate different types of body styles. It offers standout design differentiation and future-proof technologies. Additionally, extensive material sharing within the platform family further enhances overall cost efficiency.
This embodies our expertise and heritage.
AmpR Small leverages the Group's experience in modular platforms for electric vehicles and the SWEET400 electric electronic architecture, developed in partnership with Google. The result is an efficient design that maximizes interior space while minimizing the vehicle's footprint.
This is a success story in motion.
AmpR Small has proven its ability to deliver outstanding models: Renault 5 E-Tech Electric, Renault 4 E-Tech Electric, and Alpine A290. The next-generation Nissan compact electric vehicle and the future electric Twingo will also join the AmpR Small family.
This is a guarantee of uncompromising performance.
With AmpR Small, vehicles offer up to 400 km of range in the WLTP cycle. No compromises on design, acoustics, or dynamism. An optimized chassis with a multi-arm rear suspension, a lowered center of gravity thanks to batteries under the floor, and a concentration of embedded technologies.
This helps create a strong, sustainable automotive industry in Europe.
Manufactured within Ampere ElectriCity in Hauts-de-France, with its chassis built at the Le Mans plant (France), AmpR Small contributes to strengthening the automotive industry in Europe. Ampere ElectriCity is a high-tech base dedicated to the production of electric vehicles, comprising the Douai, Maubeuge, and Ruitz plants. It relies on 75 % of suppliers located less than 300 km from the manufacturing site, for a faster, more cost-efficient approach and a greatly reduced carbon footprint.
This is a gateway to software defined vehicles.
By 2030, 40 % of a car's value will come from software. AmpR Small is ready for this technological revolution. The Group's first software defined vehicle will hit the roads in 2026, thanks to partnerships with Qualcomm, Google, Valeo and LG Electronics.
This is more than a platform to build electric vehicles.
It is a vision, a commitment, a revolution. AmpR Small embodies both the passion that drives the Ampere teams to tackle technological challenges and the Group's ambition to innovate for more sustainable, intelligent and accessible mobility.
