On a highly competitive market segment, how can the new megane stay ahead of the competition?

To set us apart from our rivals we focused very strongly on two of our customers' main purchase decision-making criteria, namely design and technological equipment. New Mégane offers an exceptionally well-proportioned dynamic design. This is the lowest car in the segment, with the widest track, which makes for a very steady ride as well as confortable. On the technologies front, New Mégane naturally boasts the very latest driver aids, as introduced on New Espace and Talisman. We've got adaptive cruise control (ACC), active emergency braking (AEBS), lane departure warning, hands-free parking, etc.

Then New Mégane comes with a choice of engines covering the whole spectrum of motorists' needs and preferences, from 90 bhp up to 205 bhp on the GT version. The Energy dCi 110 diesel unit achieves one of the lowest fuel consumption figures in the C segment, with CO2 emissions at just 86 g/km.

If you had just two points for summing up New Mégane, what would they be?

A Dynamic design and advanced technologies!

What was the inspiration behind New Mégane's quality interior?

New Mégane has a high-quality interior, with a “cockpit” atmosphere that echoes the vibrant exterior design. We paid special attention to the choice of materials, as with the soft dashboard and upper door panels, the slim chrome surrounds for items such as the air vents, and a full-grain napa leather steering wheel on the upper trim versions. All controls are literally at the driver's fingertips, for enhanced reassurance and driving pleasure.

Like its predecessor, New Mégane is again available in a GT version. Is it important to include a GT version in the line-up? And what kind of customers are you addressing with this version?

New Mégane GT offers both comfort and driving pleasure. This will be the first vehicle in its segment with 4Control (four-wheel steering) technology, for safety and sportsmanship. With its 205 bhp engine coupled through a seven-speed EDC transmission with steering-wheel paddle shifts, its exclusive exterior design and its sports-oriented interior, New Mégane GT is for motorists seeking sensations, performance and pleasure. And this version will be available right from initial release of the New Mégane line-up!
