Electricity - Ruitz Plant
With more than 50 years of history, over 7 million gearboxes and subassemblies have rolled off the production lines of the Ruitz Manufacture (Hauts‑de‑France). Today, the site is one of the key links in the electric value chain: it ensures with great precision the machining of gear and shaft sets destined for the gearboxes of Renault’s E‑Tech hybrid range, as well as the manufacturing of components for the reducer of the electric powertrain. This cutting‑edge work, carried out with proven technical expertise, guarantees a high level of quality and perfect mastery of machining operations.
Two specialized lines assemble high‑tech battery housings dedicated to the electric vehicles developed by Ampere. The Ruitz Manufacture is also the main production site for differential satellite gears, which are assembled by Renault Group’s mechanical plants. These gears equip manual gearboxes, E‑Tech systems, as well as electric reducers. All Renault, Nissan, and Dacia vehicles are equipped with them, demonstrating the site’s ability to produce high‑precision components essential to powertrain performance.
Ruitz is part of the Ampere Electricity Hub, a unique industrial cluster and center of operational excellence alongside Douai and Maubeuge, leveraging a fully integrated ecosystem that combines efficiency and advanced technology across the entire electric vehicle value chain.

News
A new UET in Ruitz for LFP Battery Production
The Ruitz Manufacture is acquiring a new Elementary Work Unit (UET) dedicated to preparing the housings and baseplates of Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) batteries. This project enables the integration of LFP technology, thus supporting the evolution of battery chemistry. The housings produced will equip the new phases of the Megane, Scenic, and Alpine A390 models.
