Valladolid Montaje Plant
The Valladolid Assembly facility, inaugurated in 1953, was the first plant built in Spain by the Renault Group. Throughout its history, it has undergone technological transformations that have enabled the plant to remain competitive and adapt to the different vehicle models it has produced. Recently, the plant's facilities have been further modernised to accommodate production of the different versions of the Captur (ICE, PHEV, HEV and LPG) and the Symbioz.

Environment
The Valladolid plant is in line with the company’s Climate Plan, which aims to achieve carbon neutrality in Europe by 2040. Between 2021 and 2024, the plant managed to reduce its energy consumption by 40% and its water consumption by 54%.

Quality is a priority for the plant. Our objective is to establish the plant as an industrial reference in terms of quality within Renault Group.

The Valladolid site gets ready for New Captury
The site has built 2.2 million Captur units since the launch of the first generation in 2013. At the end of April 2024, Valladolid is getting ready for New Captur while pursuing its transformation. Process digitisation and the arrival of artificial intelligence have significantly reduced the use of energy and water, while maintaining a focus on quality.

The deployment of the metaverse industry and quality, along with the acceleration of digital transformation, the use of artificial intelligence for visual inspections of all processes, and Big Data, are the main areas of work implemented in Valladolid in order to strengthen the quality and performance of the factory and industrialize Renault Symbioz.

- 1951: creation of the Fabrication Automobiles SA company (FASA).
- 1953: 4 CV start of production.
- 1972: assembly plant set up in Valladolid; Renault 5 production launched.
- 1989: Clio I start of production.
- 1995: consolidation of bodywork and assembly activities at the Valladolid Bodywork-Assembly plant.
- 1997: Clio II start of production.
- 2003: launch of Modus production.
- 2006: start-up for Clio III production.
- 2008: inauguration of solar energy facilities.
- 2011: ZE building dedicated to production of the Twizy inaugurated, production begins in 2012.
- 2012: Production launch of Twizy
- 2013: the King of Spain, Juan Carlos I inaugurates the Captur’s line.
- 2017: 1.000.000 Capturs manufactured.
- 2018: conversion of the plant in preparation for Captur 2.
- 2020: New Captur, Renault's first Plug-In Hybrid model.
- 2021: Separation of the Valladolid Bodywork and Assembly plant into two independent units in July. The plant produces all the New Captur's versions: ICE, PHEV, HEV and GPL
- 2022: 50th anniversary of the assembly plant since its foundation in 1972.
- 2023: Commercial launch of the Mitsubishi ASX manufactured at the Valladolid plant and production of the eight millionth vehicle a Captur E-Tech full hybrid.
