Identifying key skills in a rapidly changing automotive industry

In response to the profound transformations facing the automotive sector, Renault Group places a strong emphasis on developing the skills of all its employees. Our objective is to anticipate reskilling and upskilling needs, address technological disruption and ensure long-term employability. This approach is reinforced by the Group’s new strategic planfutuREady

It is with this ambition in mind that Renault Group’s graduate programs in France have been designed. For several weeks now, Master’s-level graduates from engineering schools, business schools and universities have been able to apply for the program intake starting in September 2026.

The programs open for the coming academic year focus on key roles identified by the Group, including manufacturing and production engineering, consulting, finance, after-sales and logistics, as well as positions related to new technologies in digital, artificial intelligence and data.

Gaining in-depth automotive knowledge and developing soft skills

Renault Group’s graduate programs include three job rotations across different positions over a period of two to five years, depending on the chosen program. They combine hands-on learning, a personalized mentoring scheme and a training plan designed to develop both technical and soft skills. Various events are also organized to help new recruits build their professional networks.

“After completing my final-year internship at the Flins plant as part of the mechatronics remanufacturing team, I joined the graduate program in circular economy and decarbonization in September 2023. I completed three rotations, both in the factory and in central services, and since November 2025, I have been an Industrial Projects and Electrical Infrastructure Engineer for the ElectriCity division’s plants. I am responsible for overseeing all projects that impact the electrical infrastructure at the Douai, Maubeuge, and Ruitz sites. This program enabled me to develop an in-depth understanding of the company and build a network much faster than I would have without this experience. It’s a real added value that I see every day in my current role.”

Clarifying your career path

I joined the corporate finance graduate program in September 2024. It was a field that appealed to me, and I wanted to explore its diversity before specializing in a specific area. The graduate program offers a great opportunity, through various rotations, to experience different roles across the various departments of the finance division and gain a wide range of experience to help me refine my career goals.

Above all, this accelerated training enables these young talents to pursue their careers within the company, in France as well as internationally.
