Circular Industry
This programme is the first 360° training ecosystem for the Circular Industry of Mobility. Located at the heart of the Refactory site in Flins, on the Mobility Circular Industry campus, its aim is to support the transition from a linear economy to a circular economy and decarbonisation.
Programmes include:
- initial and continuing education:
- core training in the circular industry (recycling, battery and parts repair, retrofitting and hydrogen). These modules cover the fundamentals. They are integrated into the curricula of the BUT university diploma and vocational degrees run by UVSQ (Paris-Saclay University), and are also part of the car maintenance training courses – from the CAP vocational training certificate to the BTS vocational diploma – at a number of eductional centres in the Paris region.
- technical training in readiness for new skills areas, for operating and engineering functions (diagnostics technician for vehicle refurbishment, robot retrofit technician, ecodesign engineer, eco-responsible buyer, etc.)
- social integration and careers guidance, to help trainees find their way around the new skills areas of the circular industry and select their career path.
Our partners
The Mobility Circular Industry campus relies on a network of institutional, academic and industrial partners:
- Paris Regional Council is supporting the transformation of the site's technical facilities through a €5 million investment by the mixed-economy company Ile-de-France Investissements et territoires.
- The Paris regional education authority, together with the authorities of Versailles, Créteil and Paris are strongly committed to adapting and transforming educational programmes in order to support access to the workplace for everyone, today and in the future.
- Paris Saclay University is the main university for the Skills and Qualifications Campus (CMQ). It is closely involved in governance aspects as well as in the development and implementation of training courses (primarily through its IUT university institute at Mantes-en-Yvelines and several research laboratories working on CMQ themes).
- The campus can also rely on the support of its industrial partners to develop its training offer.
In 2022, the campus was named as a “Campus of Excellence” by the French ministry of education for a period of five years. This award recognises the quality of its initiatives in building bridges between the worlds of education and business.
