Renault Group Code of Ethics – 2024 Edition

The Renault Group Code of Ethics promotes value based on trust and respect, defines the state of mind in which professional relationships must be considered between employees, customers, suppliers, partners and shareholders and enacts principles that help distinguish what is acceptable from what is not. It invites us to integrity and vigilance and thus helps us question the attitude to adopt in the delicate situations that we sometimes face. It commits us to reporting behavior or requests that do not respect it and thus helps us to make the right decision in all circumstances. Like a compass, it guides us.

The Code of Ethics applies to each and every one of us, managers, employees, apprentices, temporary workers of Renault Group and its subsidiaries around the world. Its principles take into account the interests of customers, suppliers and shareholders. All those who work directly or indirectly with Renault Group can consult it, refer to it and draw inspiration from it.

The 2024 edition of the Code of Ethics offers new elements of content, practical cases and diagrams to facilitate its understanding.

To go a step further

The Anti-corruption code of conduct commits Renault Group to an active and proactive policy of preventing and combating corruption and influence peddling.

It materializes the Group’s commitments in the fight against corruption and contributes to the dissemination of its ethical culture with topics related to the company’s activity and the recommendations of the French Anti-corruption Agency.

It illustrates what corruption is, its challenges, its forms and its risks and presents examples of situations in which it can arise and the most common warning signs.

The Anti-corruption code of conduct applies to all persons bound by an employment contract to the Renault Group, regardless of their hierarchical level, their geographical location or their reporting entity.

The “dedicated codes of ethics” set out the rules of good conduct to be applied within the functions for which a reinforced ethical requirements is required. They are dedicated to the stock market, global security, IT, purchasing, audit, trade, customs and interest representation.

Renault Group’ statement regarding interest representation transparency:

“In April 2024, Renault Group disclosed its new code of conduct for interest representation activities which sets out that « Renault Group interest representation activities support Renault Group climate ambition“. In this respect, Renault Group is member of the SBTI Business Ambition 1,5C° campaign.

No later than the 2025 AGM, Renault Group commits to publish a report regarding its membership in industry associations who conduct climate related advocacy, based on objective criteria such as Renault Group’s membership fees, Renault Group’s role in governance, its participation in the associations’ working groups, or the commitment of these associations regarding the Paris agreements’ objectives. Renault Group will regularly update this report afterwards.”

More information is provided in the 2023 URD regarding the Group’s transparent approach to interest representation, the main positions defended by Renault Group in 2023, disclosure of the Group’s memberships in its main associations and interest representation spending.
