01

A competitive high‑tech industrial base

Set up in 2021, Ampere ElectriCity is an ecosystem unique in France for the production of electric vehicles. It comprises the Douai, Maubeuge and Ruitz factories, present in Northern France for over 50 years. The site also draws upon the mechanical expertise of the Cléon plant in powertrain manufacture.

ElectriCity derives its competitive edge from an ecosystem dedicated to electric mobility, bringing together research centres, universities, start-ups and suppliers with cutting-edge expertise. A full 75% of suppliers are located less than 300 km from the manufacturing site, for a faster, more cost-efficient approach and a greatly reduced carbon footprint.

Software-Defined Vehicle: revolutionary technology

By 2030, 40% of the value generated by cars will come from software. The software-defined vehicle will be a constantly evolving product, generating value throughout its lifecycle.

The Group’s first software-defined vehicle will be a Renault model, scheduled to arrive in 2026. To develop this vehicle, Ampere has teamed up with high-tech partners including Qualcomm and Google.
