One of our FOT’s (Field Operationnal Test) is the “Rouen Normandy Autonomous Lab”, Europe’s first on-demand mobility experimental service using autonomous electric vehicles on public roads, in partnership with Transdev Group.

Launched in fall 2017 as a lab, the service will includes five autonomous all-electric vehicles (4 Renault ZOE and 1 Transdev shuttle) running on three loops, covering a distance of ten kilometres, near Rouen.

This on-demand service will be open to the public in spring 2018, for two years of experimentation.

To book a ride in real time, passengers will use a smartphone application and position themselves near one of the seventeen stops on the three loops.

Developing autonomous transport systems requires a number of core competences including dispatch, fleet management, telecommunications, sensors and autonomous driving software, as well as expertise in vehicle manufacturing. The partners of the Rouen Normandy Autonomous Lab combine all of these competences.

The Rouen Normandy Autonomous Lab will contribute strongly to the development and use of autonomous vehicles on open roads.
