Luca de Meo, CEO of Renault Group since 2020, was rewarded for his contribution to the spectacular recovery of the Group, materialized in 2023 by a record profitability in the first half. In addition to the performance of this recovery plan, the award recognizes the implementation of an ambitious strategic vision, projecting the Group into the future of mobility. With Renaulution, Renault Group has successfully undertaken numerous projects, with the repositioning historic brands, the launch one of the most innovative product ranges in recent years, the birth of a world champion in low-emission powertrains with Horse, and the beginning of a new era of cooperation with Nissan within the Alliance. The ambition to make Renault Group a next-generation automotive company continues today with the 3rd phase of the strategic plan and acceleration of the company’s transformation. The strategy defined by Luca de Meo allows to position the Group faster and stronger than the competition on the automotive new value chains: electric vehicle, new mobilities and circular economy. Next step: creation of Ampere, entity dedicated to electric and software, which will take place in second half.
It is with great pride that I received today the title of “Group CEO” for 2023. This award means a lot to me because it confirms Renault Group’s return to the forefront of the automotive industry. The Auto industry is above all a team sport, and to excel at top level, you need a first-class team. This success is also a reward for global passionate work to get back into play and prepare for its future. I therefore dedicate this award to all Renault Group employees, the doers of Revolution!
