With the launch of New Arkana, Renault has shaken up traditional market codes and become the first generalist manufacturer to launch an SUV coupe in Europe. With a length of 4.57 m and a height of 1.57 m, New Renault Arkana boasts a distinctive and striking design that combines elegance and robustness. With a very strong personality, it offers a reassuringly high ride height and uncompromising roominess and trunk space. New Renault Arkana promises more emotion and dynamism while benefiting from the highly efficient E-TECH Hybrid engine.

Engine

After Clio, Captur and Mégane, Renault is pursuing its strategy of democratizing its innovative E-TECH hybrid technology across its entire range with New Arkana. This “full hybrid” engine provides systematic electric drive starting and ensures driving pleasure in all circumstances, with frank and instantaneous acceleration. Thanks to this engine, New Arkana demonstrates maximum versatility and adapts to all urban and road uses. With an all-electric city driving time of up to 80%, CO2 emissions and fuel consumption are effectively controlled.

Recharge

No cord or plug is required to charge the battery of New Arkana E-TECH Hybrid: it is automatically recharged while driving. During deceleration, when the driver takes his foot off the accelerator pedal and the car is coasting or braking, the electric motor works like a generator to convert the energy produced by the rotation of the wheels into electricity. A “B” position on the automatic transmission lever activates advanced regeneration, further optimizing the amount of energy returned to the battery.

Driving modes

The MULTI-SENSE settings allow the driver to choose a driving mode according to his mood or the road profile he is facing. The My Sense mode is the everyday mode, with an “electric effect” that is very present and easy to maintain or repeat, whether in urban use or at higher speeds. Eco mode is based on a less dynamic and more dosable accelerator pedal mapping. The Sport mode takes advantage of the engine’s full potential in terms of response time and performance.

Connectivity

With the Renault CONNECT ecosystem, New Arkana benefits from a connected universe that brings together numerous services accessible through the MY Renault mobile application and the new Renault EASY LINK multimedia system. The latter has permanent 4G connectivity and enriched services thanks to partners such as Google (address search) and TomTom (traffic info and danger zones).

Design

The E-TECH Hybrid engine is available on all versions of New Arkana, including the R.S. Line finish. This proposal will provide a dynamic, racy style while benefiting from a technology that makes it highly efficient.
