With the Twingo Electric, Renault’s iconic small city car now has a 100% electric version. It is based on the same basic features as its ICE twin: compact, agile and easy to handle, with the best turning radius in its class. But with electric propulsion and different driving modes, it is even more pleasant to drive and is designed for urban travel. Built on a platform that is natively predisposed to electric power, the Twingo Electric offers performance that retains everything that has already made Twingo a success and further maximizes its appeal. In terms of range, its 22 kWh battery enables it to traverse the city for a whole week on a single charge. Charging can be carried out up to four times faster than its rivals on the most frequently used charging points in public areas, thanks to the record versatility of the systems on offer.

Autonomy

The Twingo Electric 22 kWh battery gives it a range of 270 kilometers on the WLTP City cycle and 190 kilometers on the full WLTP* cycle.

*WLTP: Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedures. The standardized WLTP cycle consists of 57% urban trips, 25% suburban trips and 18% highway trips.

Versatility

Its Renault-patented Cameleon charger allows the Twingo Electric to recharge anywhere: at home, at work, on AC infrastructures up to 22 kW which allows it to recover up to 80 km of autonomy in 30 min. With this technology, it adapts to the available power of each charging point and can make maximum use of existing recharging infrastructures, particularly in cities.

Engine

Its 60 kW (82 hp) engine delivers a maximum torque of 160 Nm immediately available. Acceleration from 0 to 50 km/h is achieved in just 4 seconds. The top speed of 135 km/h allows for any incursions on expressways or freeways.

Driving modes

The Twingo Electric “B mode” allows the driver to choose from three levels of regenerative braking when the accelerator pedal is released. At the highest setting (B3) which regenerates the battery and above reduces the use of the brake pedal and simplifies city driving. Conversely, the lowest setting lets the car keep going, almost as if it were freewheeling.

Connectivity

The Twingo Electric benefits from the Renault CONNECT offer, the gateway to all Renault connected services. This offer includes the MY Renault application to manage your vehicle remotely on your smartphone, and the Renault EASY LINK multimedia system. Compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, it offers connected services such as route updates integrating real-time traffic, Google search for destinations or points of interest, weather information at the destination of the route, the Auto-update service for automatic and regular updates of all functionalities and services, etc.

Design

In addition to the elegant and impertinent style of its ICE engine version, the car’s membership in the Renault family of 100% electric vehicles is highlighted by a few identifiers: a blue border in the center of the wheels, a blue edging running the length of the car, and horizontal electric blue patterns on the grille. In fact, you only have to look at it to understand that it retains all the mischievous and dynamic personality of the iconic Twingo, with a few electrifying details to boot.
