Episode 4:

Alpine, motorsport in its genes

Racing in the blood

All Alpines are sporty, both in style and behaviour. From the mid-1950s to the end of the 1970s, the Alpine brand enjoyed some of the best moments in motorsport. It has racing and the DNA for victory in its blood.
Alpine achieved victories with iconic models that sped round the rally trails, and also with prototypes that proved themselves during major endurance races. In particular the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the crowning test in the calendar, which it won in 1978. Alpine also excelled in single-seater racing (Formula 3), the most demanding motorsport discipline, and in rallycross, which demands toughness at every trial.
