Renault Group places safety at the heart of its priorities. Renault Boreal embodies this commitment on an international scale, offering customers a comprehensive range of driving aids. Here’s a closer look at this high-tech content, designed to enhance safety on the road. 

A high standard of safety for international markets 

Revealed in July 25, Renault Boreal will be on sale in over 70 countries from the end of 2025, featuring 24 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), to protect both vehicle occupants and other road users. It provides the driver with alerts on risky situations and can even intervene in an emergency if the driver does not take action himself. Renault Boreal will be manufactured in Brazil for Latin America, then in Turkey for markets around the Mediterranean, and is setting a high safety standard in these markets.

ADAS for safety on board and on the road 

Renault Boreal offers a comprehensive range of 24 ADAS, some of them unprecedented in the C-segment on these markets. Here is a selection of them, grouped into three main categories of use: 

Driving & safety assistance

  • Active Driver Assist: combines Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Lane Centering Assist enabling the vehicle to stay on course and maintain a safe distance at all times, even in traffic jams.

  • Emergency Stop Assist (ESA): slows the vehicle to a complete stop in the event of driver inactivity.
  • Lane Departure Warning (LDW) & Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) : warns the driver of lane departure corrects the vehicle's trajectory to keep it in its lane.

  • Forward and rear detection with Emergency Lane-Keeping Assist (e-LKA): this function counter steers the vehicle in critical situations such as the presence of an oncoming vehicle, dangerous overtaking manoeuvres, or a risk of veering off the road. The system alerts the driver and keeps the vehicle in its lane to reduce any identified risk of collision.

  • Automatic Emergency Braking System (AEBS): alerts the driver to the risk of collision and brakes if the driver does not intervene.
  • Blind Spot Warning (BSW): detects vehicles in blind spots and alerts the driver.
  • Occupant Safe Exit alert (OSE): warns occupants of approaching vehicles when doors are opened.

  • Rear cross traffic alert (RCTA) : when reversing out of a parking spot, the rear side sensors detect any approaching vehicles in the vehicle's path and warn the driver.  
  • Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) 
  •  Driver Attention Alert (DDAW)

Parking aids

  • Hands-Free Parking: manages parking maneuvers in a niche or in a battle, without the driver actually touching the steering wheel.
