« Your ideas, your initiatives » when 12,500 pupils on 4 continents speak road safety

Launched in 2011, the “Your Ideas, Your Initiatives”competition is open to pupils aged 15 to 17 at schools all around the world. Its objective? To make youngsters aware of road safety and encourage them to act by developing a local campaign.This is a way for them to participate in the improvement of safety and to contribute to sustainable mobility. And also to get involved in an international initiative which is being publicised by Groupe Renault! Here are just four of these projects.

Their project: to analyse the findings of an in-depth field study into the causes of death on the roads and to identify of group of drivers who have not committed an offence in the last year. At an event in Buenos Aires, these drivers were awarded a scarf in recognition of their good driving. The aim? To highlight drivers who behave responsibly in order to encourage good habits in others when they get behind the wheel.

Their project: to put an end to a dangerous habit by the large-scale distribution of an information brochure to pupils’ parents and teachers who visit their school.The aim is to encourage motorists not to do U-turns and drive the wrong way down the unmetalled one-way road that runs in front of their school.
