Because tomorrow’s world will be shaped by the young people of today, these are the people most concerned by the 2025 World Expo.
This has been very much a generational project from the outset; even the initial bid was put together with input from some 1,000 students from French universities. We’re now stepping up promotion of our application at international scale, inviting young people across the world to stand as ambassadors for our project,” explains Jean-Christophe Fromantin, chairman of the EXPOFRANCE 2025 Committee.
20’25 Youth Challenge is a major international (excluding France) completion launched on 4 April. It seeks to recruit a hundred young people aged 20 to 25 as ambassadors for the French bid in their countries.
Applicants can post a 20-second video or photo demonstrating their attachment to France, on the 20’25 Youth Challenge site by 9 May 2017.
They’ll then be invited to share these posts on their social networks. A shortlist of 400 applicants will be drawn up on the basis of the number of votes obtained.
The shortlisted applicants will then be asked to submit a CV and a one-minute explanatory video for examination by the EXPOFRANCE 2025 jury, who will announce the 100 ambassadors of the French cause in July 2017. The winners will all be invited to attend a seminar on France’s World Fair application during the autumn of 2017, in France.
Groupe Renault became a founder partner of the EXPOFRANCE 2025 project in late 2013, lending its support to an initiative that seeks to muster nationwide mobilization on a bid focused on progress and technology.
